Academic Placement

Please find below our progression of classes and the appropriate age bracket for each class.

Admission and class placement are determined by age, assessment performance, readiness and the school's placement standards.

Admission into KG One will be based on the child's age.
Admission into KG Two to Grade Five will be based on a written assessment and age. Admission into Grade 6 is subject to further discussion.
Subsequent to the child's performance in the written assessment, he/she will be placed in the class requested if he/she performs satisfactorily according to the school's predetermined standard.
Where a pupil performs over and above the standard required for the class applied for, to foster healthy competition, he/she will be placed in the appropriate class commensurate with his/her level of performance, on the recommendation of the Nursery/Primary Supervisors or Head of Academics.
Where a pupil performs below the set standard for the class applied for, he/she will be placed in the class most suitable for his/her level of performance, on the recommendation of the Nursery/Primary Supervisors or Head of Academics.
The school reserves every right to place pupils in the class and arm it considers appropriate in all circumstances in order to maintain our standard.
